Amazing! Review by Kathy
Quality
Recently introduced to Yogic Chai by a friend who received a bag of this in a gourmet food box. I have tried many different chai tea brands and all came up lacking. I am happy to say my search is over and all other chai brands has been eliminated from my cupboards! The Original Masala Chai has a perfect blend of spices and the tea is very fresh and very smooth. I am excited to try other Yogic teas and have just ordered the Original Masala (loose), the tea bags for travel and several other types. Cannot wait to receive my first order. Thanks for making such a great product. (Posted on 7/30/13)
Much deserved belated review... Review by Andrea

I am finally sitting down to write a review now that we have been drinking this tea for 3 years! It is wonderfully flavorful and you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. There is something very "clean" about the flavor and everyone that shares it with us is hooked. It is requested by everyone who comes to visit!

The consistency says a lot and we are never disappointed from one bag to the next. Kudos on the 3rd win! (Posted on 4/5/13)
Good not my favorite Review by Amy
Quality
I've tried all different tea brands including both loose and packaged chai tea, I found this to be missing the sweetness I've found in other chai tea. Other than that the ingredients are very fresh.

*Response from Yogic Chai: Unlike other Chai products in the market, we do not use any added sugars nor flavorings. As it is served traditionally, we recommend adding some sort of sweetener to counteract the bitterness of the spices and tea. At home, we like using raw honey or raw sugar. Some prefer agave or maple syrup (Posted on 3/29/13)
Excellent quality product! Review by Nola

I received my chai tea order very quickly, as the company indicated that I would. I can tell that the ingredients are fresh and wholesome. What I'm having problems with is the strength of the tea--I guess I used to weak teas, because this is so powerful that I've had a hard time drinking it. I will definitely try using less and less and build up my tolerance for it. Excellent quality product. I will definitely consider purchasing more. (Posted on 6/16/11)
I love that it's organic and that I have found the perfect chai for me! Review by Kelly

This is a very well balanced chai! I love making it following the stovetop recipe printed on the bag. I've enjoyed it at any time of day, but especially at night as a nice dessert. I love that it's organic and that I have found the perfect chai for me! (Posted on 4/28/11)
Wonderful product! Thank you! Review by Hafizullah

Forget everybody else's attempts at Indian masala chai, including anything in a box or carton. Once you've been to India, "birkenstock chai" just does not cut it. I have been to India three times, and the Yogic Masala Chai is about as authentic as you will get outside of India. This stuff is smooth, full-bodied, balanced, and wonderful --- an India nostalgia-rush. The only other prepared mix that comes even close is the one by Rishi Tea, but it's too heavy on the cardamom after it's been kept warm on the back burner for a couple of hours. The only thing better than Yogic Masala Chai is Yogic Masala Chai with half-and-half, because we can't get water-buffalo milk in the U.S.

Wonderful product! Thank you! (Posted on 12/20/10)
Not only has this chai gotten me off my 3-4 cups per day coffee habit, I feel amazing! Review by Jennifer

I also used to think I didn't care for chai because my only exposure to it was the Starbucks version. Then I found Yogic Chai and WOW! Not only has this chai gotten me off my 3-4 cups per day coffee habit, I feel amazing. I've tried 3 different blends of Ricardo's chai: Masala, Female Tonic, and Immune Support. All are delicious in their own way, and very nourishing and comforting. I look forward to my chai every morning. Over the past few months, my family has experienced the usual rounds of cold weather illnesses - strep, stomach flu, colds. I have remained totally healthy despite lack of sleep caring for sick young children. I really think the Immune Support chai has something to do with that. Thanks, Ricardo, for your wonderful products! JAI! (Posted on 12/20/10)
The masala chai is excellent. I am originally from India... Review by Syed Ashraf
Quality
The masala chai is excellent. I am originally from India, and find most of what passes for Masala Chai to be too heavy, too sweet, and lacking some of my favorite flavors from the traditional masala chai I grew up with. Yogic Chai's masala chai is light and refreshing while still having the warm, rich taste of chai. It makes an excellent Chai Latte, as we have started serving it in our shop, Coffee Bites. This tea is much, much more flavorful than the chai tea bought at coffee houses or the box or bag you buy at the grocery store! Review by Colleen

This tea is much, much more flavorful than the chai tea bought at coffee houses or the box or bag you buy at the grocery store! Plus it doesn't have all that added sugar. It has a very refreshing flavor also. Great tea for the holidays! I plan on sharing it with my family. Flavor really stays on your palate long after drinking it (which I really like)! This product exceeds expectations and is absolutely delicious! Review by Peter

I have tried various chai teas ranging from coffee shop to many of the commercial chai tea bags and mixes. This product exceeds expectations and is absoultely delicious.

The balance of tea and spice with the steeping range produces the best chai ever. I am a retired executive chef of 22+ years and enjoy new products that offer such great taste.

In the past I have used tea infusions for various sauces and I am looking forward to trying these teas. Especially a nice dessert. Even the redbush based Rooibos was excellent. Many other redbush teas had a strong straw taste. (Posted on 8/25/10)
I've switched from coffee to this tea to wake me in the morning- it's that good! Review by DONNA
Quality
I love this tea! Please be sure to follow their directions for making a cup of tea or it will be too strong. I do think the cost of this tea is quite reasonable as I paid much more for a lesser tea at our local Indian market. I plan on buying a whole lot more as I've switched from coffee to this tea to wake me in the morning- it's that good! (Posted on 8/19/10)
I must say that it is the best Masala Chai that I have tried to date Review by Mary
Quality
I tried this company because I had been disappointed with other brands I was trying.

I like this tea a lot. I drink one cup a day for caffeine when I am driving into work. I think it has a nice, solid flavor, but I do wish it had a little more "bite" to it.

Having said that, I must say that it is the best Masala Chai that I have tried to date and will buy it again from this company. I recommend this tea. (Posted on 2/26/10)
If you only order one chai tea, this should be it. Review by Eve

My husband and I loved this tea. We ordered a few different chai teas but this was our favorite. When we reorder, I will definitely buy this one again but I will order it in a larger size now that I know it is so good. If you only order one chai tea, this should be it. (Posted on 2/8/10)
I have tried many Masala Chai tea mixes but have not found any that compare to what I got from Yogic Chai Review by Frank

After spending five months living in India and getting my chai each morning from the local street vendor, I have longed to find a suitable replacement in the US. I have tried many Masala Chai tea mixes but have not found any that compare to what I got from Yogic Chai. It is a great start to the morning. I wish it would come in the 8 oz. size. The combination of tea and spices are well blended. (Posted on 12/16/09)
Thanks for putting love into the tea you make Review by Anthony
Quality
I recently received my first order of Yogic Chai, and was really surprised how delicious it is. I expected the tea to be good, but I'm completely obsessed. I ordered the Masala Chai and Coconut Masala Chai. I like the Coconut Masala Chai, but I prefer the Masala Chai. I've been drinking Masala Chai from a different supplier, and really enjoyed it. Not so long ago, I stumbled across the Yogic Chai website and read the descriptions and reviews. I was impressed with the idea that the focus of Yogic Chai was to produce a chai that was closest to the traditional tea. I figured that I should take advantage of the deals being offered around Christmas. I am very glad that I did. The tea that I received is by far the best Chai tea I've ever had. Although the prices are higher than most teas, the product is high quality and well worth the price. I will be purchasing my Chai tea from Yogic from now on. Thanks for putting love into the tea you make. I appreciate it! (Posted on 12/15/09)
This product is probably the best I have come across for a good masala chai. Review by Pamela
Quality
This product is probably the best I have come across for a good masala chai. I doctor it with more spices (I make my own blend out of dried spices) and lots of freshly ground pepper. But, I like mine SPICY. So, I use this as a good base. I think that if I didn't have my own concoction that I doctor it with, it would still be fine. The blend of the flavors is very nice. I will continue to buy this product. The others available online just don't compare for quality and flavor. (Posted on 11/16/09)
I was always looking for a spiced chai that was spicy enough and I am so glad I found Yogic Chai Review by Lanora
Quality
I love this tea! I am simply delighted with the quality of the ingredients and how smooth the Assam Tea. It is so easy to avoid coffee all together when you have something so much more tasty to wake up to, not to mention the health benefits. I was always looking for a spiced chai that was spicy enough and I am so glad I found Yogic Chai. The only drawback is I have to add my own peppercorns but - so little a price to pay- I will take it. I will certainly be back for more & I will send out the good word to friends and family. I do not see how I can get so may servings out of each bag and still have it at the strength I like. Well I guess practice makes perfect ;} (Posted on 10/26/09)
I'm really pleased Review by Joyce
Quality
This was my second order of Coconut Chai and Fat Burner Chai. I love them both and actually mix them sometimes for added flavor since the Coconut Chai is a milder blend. I also ordered Masala Chai this time, based on recommendations I read on the website and I'm really pleased. I like the bold flavor and more intense spice. Over the years I have grown accustomed to a proprietary blend from a local tea room, or my own mixes, but truthfully, I find these products superior and more convenient. The ordering process is great, shipment is accurate and quick and the product lasts, so the value is good as well. I like to keep a pot going and so I will continue to add to it which enhances the flavor and depth in my opinion. (perhaps unorthodox, but I love the aroma to last which is part of the experience for me, plus in these financially lean times, I need the tea to fit my budget, which it can in this manner). I will be trying different products as they are offered. Thanks, Joyce R, CT. (Posted on 10/14/09)
I love the smell of the herbs and spices and they hit you in the way only really good chai can. Review by Martin
Quality
I really like a full bodied and spicy chai tea in the evenings and I heard about Yogic Chai from a search on Twitter. The resulting review I found said that this was the best Chai they had ever tried so I decided to give it a try.

I am extremely glad I did. The smell of the spices hits you as soon as you open the package. I love the smell of the herbs and spices and they hit you in the way only really good chai can. The smell was so divine I could hardly wait for the tea to steep. I waited the 5 minutes with the thought of the taste of spices making me drool just a little. The first taste was exactly what I wanted from a chai with the taste being warm and enticing. The many flavors burst in your mouth, with each spice being discernable and perfectly blended. I love a good Assam and that malty flavor can still be found through the array of spices. The drink is most pleasurable with the wonderful smell enhancing the fantastic flavors. This tea reminds me of a good spice cake as the aroma is equally as good as the taste.

I prefer making my tea the way I prepare tea as I am not a fan of sweetening my teas. I like the taste of the tea and spices and I find the sweetness from any sweetener hides some of that flavor. (Posted on 4/11/09)
The herbs hit you in the way only really good chai can! Review by Troy from TEVIEWS.COM
Quality
I simmered the herbs in the water for about 4 or 5 minutes, then added milk and simmered an additional 2-3 minutes, I followed this with a dash of honey to sweeten. Admittedly, I could have been more academic and made the blend sans additions, but this is Masala Chai and I would prefer to review it for what its supposed to be. Again the freshly ground herbs pay off and my entire apartment smells like tea, which sort of fits. Now the real, and only valid test, the taste. Hard work always pays off, and only by adding that little bit of effort have they taken something as common as their ingredients list is, and turn it into something so wonderfully uncommon.

The herbs hit you in the way only really good chai can, they remind me of spiced rum, or Hot chocolate in a way. Their warming, and enticing, they burst on the tongue in arrays of spice, and sensation. Assam is normally something I can’t stand, and yet in the tasting I can tell that only Assam could be tasted through the waves of Cinnamon and Cardamom. Its a very front of the face sort of flavor, really working hard at the front of the nose, and the center and tip of the tongue. It reminds me of Gingerbread cookies, and cinnamon sticks in mugs of hot cocoa, and all sorts of other wonderful middle class childhood memories I saw on Holiday specials. I have a strong and abiding sensation that I’ll be doing a little more looking around their site, and a little more ordering, (Posted on 3/4/09)
it exceeded my expectations. Delicious. It was smooth, full-flavored, not overly spicey, not overly sweet, not bitter. Review by Jennifer

I heard about Yogic Chai from an online friend! I visited the website, and had a hard time picking out what I wanted to try first. I decided that one of my first picks had to be the Original blend since my previous exposure to Chai had been coffeeshop mixes.

Where do I start? The packaging was great, with clear directions for my novice chai brewing self. I was skeptical (boil the tea with the water), but it worked. When it was ready to drink, it exceeded my expectations. Delicious. It was smooth, full-flavored, not overly spicey, not overly sweet, not bitter.

I will admit, when I couldn't order less than 1 oz, I was concerned I wouldn't like it and would be stuck with 14 cups of tea I wouldn't drink, but I'm not going to have any trouble drinking it all, and then I'll be coming back for more!

Thank you for sharing your love of Chai with me! I'm definitely sharing my love of your Chai with everyone that will listen! (Posted on 1/29/09)
This is the best chai I have come across Review by Laura from TEAVIEWS.COM
Quality
Yogic Chai is an organization that makes nothing but chai blends. They use organic ingredients and Fair Traded Tea. They also make their black tea blends with assam tea, which happens to be the best way to enjoy chai, in my opinion. They even have a blend for healthy immune support with echinacea and astragalus--tis the the season for colds and flu.

As stated above the ingredients are all organic and include Fair Traded Assam, cinnamon, green cardamom, cloves, and ginger. This is fun to look at with lots of little pieces of spice. This packs a pretty healthy spice load. The assam might not be the highest quality out there, but this isn't meant to drank purist style. This is meant to have sugar and milk. I happen to love this because it packs a healthy spice load and love that there is enough ginger so that I can taste its bite.

This is the best chai I have come across. I look forward to meeting the chai that does it better, but fear I might have to visit India or at least an Indian home. If you are looking for a great spicy chai with an assam base, this is for you. Be sure to check out Teaview's Forum in the Special Offers & Coupons section for any Yogic Chai current offers. They have had a few as of late that make it worth your while to stock up on their chai. (Posted on 11/19/08)
